May 2025: Embrace the SHIFT

As Mental Health Awareness Month unfolds, focusing on the power of internal check-ins only feels right. Amidst all the changes happening around us, I challenge you to notice where a shift in mindset could be beneficial. Take a moment to consider:


  • Where do I feel stuck?

  • What would a small shift look like?

  • When has an unexpected change led to something positive?


The last question really reminded me how change- both chosen and forced can lead to beautiful outcomes. In 2016, my car hydroplaned and did a 180 across the 83 highway (scary af) in Baltimore after leaving my yoga teacher training. My car was totaled and the whole experience woke me up and abruptly shifted my perspective on life and what could come next. This event was the catalyst for me to be brave, quit my job, and move 3,000 miles away from home to dive deeper into my yoga practice. At 23, I couldn't define my purpose, but I felt something profound change inside. Nearly a decade later I've been lucky enough to continue to share the power of yoga for physical and mental health.


And how realigning and shifting our perspective can help us find flow in life. 


Here's a gentle reminder: The most significant changes often begin with the smallest internal shifts—a moment of genuine self-reflection that opens the door to new possibilities, even before you can see where they might lead.
